We're thrilled to share some exciting news: On May 17, Puritan received the People's United Bank Innovation and Technology Award at the Maine Family Business Awards gala.
All Maine Family Business Awards were presented by the Institute for Family-Owned Business in partnership with MEMIC. The honors recognize companies in the state that develop and demonstrate consistent excellence in terms of business success, family ownership, and responsibility to their local community. Puritan was one of just seven winners picked from 166 nominees.
We received the People's United Bank Innovation and Technology Award because of our strong history of innovation, with IFB citing “the company's ability to adapt to a changing marketplace" and preservation of more than 200 manufacturing jobs in Maine.
"We are so glad to receive this award, and to be such a part of the fabric of our state," said Timothy Templet, Executive VP of Global Sales.
"We are appreciative of our workforce, which is the backbone of our efforts to embrace change and innovation so we can remain competitive. Puritan will strive to preserve Maine manufacturing jobs and constantly innovate so that we will be worthy of this honor every year."
