When the Grand Princess cruise ship docked in Oakland, CA recently, thousands of passengers immediately needed COVID-19 testing. The CDC turned to the local California state lab for assistance, which meant the lab had a direct need for testing supplies. So they reached out to Puritan for help.
In the midst of managing the sharp spike in requests for COVID-19 supplies nationwide, the Puritan team recognized this urgent request and immediately responded to help the lab and ultimately the Grand Princess passengers. Test kits were rushed to the facility the next day so testing could begin promptly.
