We’re happy to announce that Puritan Medical Products has recently been awarded a new Chinese patent for our high-performance HydraFlock® flocked swab.
With previous device and method patents in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Japan, this recognition brings our total number of international patents to eleven; with one additional patent pending in China (for our PurFlock Ultra® swab) and two flocked swab patents pending in Hong Kong.
As recognition of our innovative medical devices and proprietary manufacturing methods continues to grow, we’re expanding into a greater number of international markets. Our newest Chinese patent speaks to Puritan’s ability to serve a diverse client base in locations across the globe.

Our HydraFlock flocked swab is differentiated from other flocked swabs on the market by our proprietary flocking process which creates a specialized microstructure whose three dimensions have been shown to demonstrate superior absorption and elution.
